Matchup Details
The UBCO women's basketball team ends their regular season with a tilt against the Victoria Vikes at the Furnace. The Heat are tasked with something they are yet to do in program history; beat the Vikes on home turf. Victoria is 8-0 all-time in Kelowna, while holding a 14-2 edge in the team's all-time series. The last time the two team's met, UBCO pulled off an 80-75 upset propelled by Surprise Munie's 20 points, and Jaeli Ibbetson's 19-point, 17-rebound double-double.
Many Heat single-season records could be broken on Thursday. Munie needs 22 points to top the most point per game in a season, Ibbetson could take it with 26 points, or Kelsey Falk with 24. If Falk shoots 75 percent from the field on eight shots or more, she will secure the best field goal percentage in a season. Ibbetson has already overtaken the record for most free throws attempted in a season with 110, she will need 11 makes for the line to tie the record for successful attempts. With a single rebound, Falk will take the record for most rebounds per game with over 10.2, she has already grabbed the most offensive board in a single season, in just 14 games with 85. Six steals from Falk would see her tie the steals per game mark set in 2011-12. With 18 blocks this season, Falk is just two behind the most in one year and has already collected the most per game with better than 1.1 a match.
A Heat win is the first step in a process that could see the Heat end up in the 9th seed, which comes with a first-round bye in playoffs. Along with the win, both UNBC and Alberta would have to lose their two final games of the regular season for UBCO to secure the spot.

Key Players
UBCO Heat - Surprise Munie
The rookie guard from Vancouver, B.C. has seen better success against no one but the Vikes this year. In the teams' prior two matchups Munie averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals. Her shooting has cooled off as of late but her playmaking and defensive stats have seen improvement. Last game against UBC, Munie recorded 10 rebounds, five assists, and four steals. In Canada West play, she finds herself in the top 10 for steals and FG made, and in 11th for total points.
UVIC Vikes - Ashlyn Day
A senior guard from Kelowna, B.C., Day put up big numbers against UBCO earlier this season putting up 21.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 in two games, including 27 points and 5 boards in a Victoria win. She ranks first in the conference in both points per game and total points, finding her scoring from beyond the arc and the foul line. In both areas, she sits within the top 10 for makes and percentage.
