Brad Hudson

Hudson was named the interm coach of the Heat back in the summer of 2016 and has since been apointened the permanent head coach.

During his time with the Heat he has helped produce three Canada West All-Rookie team members along with setting a new program record for Canada West wins in a season with nine in 2016-17.

Brad was the coach of Douglas College from 2006 until the spring of 2016, and medalled in half of his 10 seasons skippering the Royals. Hudson’s squad never failed to qualify for the postseason, earning two league championships, two provincial championships, and five provincial medals. In three trips to the CCAA national championships, the Royals won a silver and placed top-five all three trips.

Hudson has earned numerous coaching awards in his career, winning three of the last four PACWEST Provincial Coach of the Year awards (2011-12, 2014-15, and 2015-16) and being named CCAA National Coach of the Year in both 2011-12 and 2014-15.

Prior to his decade-long stint manning the sidelines for the New Westminster-based college, Hudson helmed the Capilano University Blues, another PACWEST team, from 2001-2004. In three stellar seasons in North Vancouver, the Blues ended each season with a trip to the national championships, winning a silver in March of 2004.

Along with coaching collegiately for well over a decade, Hudson has also been a fixture -- as either a head or an assistant coach -- with Team BC, leading various age-group provincial teams to a national medal on numerous occasions.
