Heat basketball games rescheduled due to lower mainland flooding

VANCOUVER - The Canada West conference announced changes to its basketball and volleyball schedules on Tuesday as flooding in British Columbia continues to impact travel in the province.

Fraser Valley, UBC Okanangan, Trinity Western and Thompson Rivers were all affected by changes to the basketball schedule. Thompson Rivers and Fraser Valley will also reschedule this weekend's volleyball matches.

In basketball, Trinity Western and Thompson Rivers will now play January 7-8, while the Cascades and Heat will reschedule their contests at a later date.

With the cancellation of this weekend's basketball home games, the Heat will no longer host their School Day games on Friday. In addition, with both the WolfPack and Heat without an opponent this weekend, the teams will move their matchups previously scheduled for February 18-19 to Friday and Saturday (Nov. 26-27) in Kamloops.

Thompson Rivers' and Fraser Valley's volleyball series originally scheduled for this weekend has been postponed to February 4-5.

Further details on rescheduled games listed as TBD will be provided at a later date.
