Coming off a win:

  • Last time out the Heat got the better of the Brandon Bobcats in four sets on their home floor to capture their second win in a three-game stretch.
  • All four sets were tightly contested as three of them were decided at either 25-23 or 26-24, but UBCO did a great job closing out sets to pick up the win.
  • After struggling on the defensive end in the opening weeks, the Heat had their best game of the season against Brandon with a season-high 68 digs along with 11 blocks.

Players to keep an eye on:

  • Senior Ann Richards has been nearly unstoppable in the last five games, as she has hit over .350 in four of the five matches and has a total of 75 kills in this span. The Assinboine, SK product is also coming off two straight double-doubles against Brandon.
  • Aidan Lea is another senior who is starting to find her form as we near the halfway mark of the Canada West season. Lea currently sits third in the conference in total blocks (42) with the majority of these stuffs coming in the last five games.

Head to head with the Huskies: (13-1)

  • UBCO has gotten the better of the prairie school on nearly every occasion, with the only Saskatchewan win coming way back in the fall of 2012.
  • This is the programs highest winning percentage (93%) against any Canada West school.
