PREVIEW: Women's golf looks to continue winning ways at home

Kelowna, BC - After capturing the opening tournament last weekend at Quilchena Country Club, the Heat women's golf team will be on home turf this weekend as they play host to the second conference tournament of the year.

Opening weekend recap:

In a rain-filled opening weekend of PACWEST play, the Heat would fight off the VIU Mariners en route to a narrow one shot victory. Rookie Samantha Copeland led the way as the Calgary product captured the individual title with rounds of 83 and 84 and would be named PACWEST Athlete of the Week. Fellow freshman Rebecca Reitsma would be the other Heat score to count as the 2018 Aberdeen Hall graduate shot 84 and 88 over the two days (Sept. 8-9).

The Bear course at the OK Club:

The Bear's 18 hole 6,885 yard, part 72 masterpiece design opened for play in 1999 and is unlike any other golf course in British Columbia. With dramatic sculpted fairways surrounded by the forests and sage brush hills of B.C.'s sun-drenched southern interior. The Bear is the crown jewel course of the Okanagan Valley.
